Fish Puttu (Scrambled Masala Fish)

Ingredients:

  • 2 x frozen Tilapia fillets (about 400g)

  • 1 tsp mixed spice (mustard, fenugreek and cumin)

  • 4 small onions / shallots, sliced

  • 2 sprigs of curry leaves

  • 2 dried chilli, broken and seeds removed

  • 2 cloves garlic, sliced

  • 1 tsp ginger paste

  • 1 tsp turmeric powder / fish curry powder

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1/2 tsp crushed black pepper

  • 2-3 tbsp coconut oil


Method: 

1. Marinate the thawed fish in turmeric power and salt, then boil quickly in some water (just till the fillets cooked).
2. The cooked fish is then crumbled into an aromatic mix of sautéed spices, onions, curry leaves, dried chilli, garlic, ginger paste, turmeric / fish curry powder. Season to taste.

Perfect side dish to your rice meal.
