Try These Too!

How to make it 

Ingredients: 

  • 1 can of sardines, removed from tomato sauce and deboned

  • 2 slices of bread

  • 200g of Spaghetti

  • 1 tsp ground Paprika

  • 1 tsp Italian herbs

  • Salt & pepper

  • Olive oil


Method: 


1. Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and cook spaghetti.

2. In a food processor, blitz the two slices of bread into breadcrumbs.

3. Using a pan, heat some olive oil and toast the bread crumbs till golden brown. Season with salt & pepper. Remove from the pan.

4. Pour some olive oil into the same pan and sauté the sardine fillets (which were removed from the sauce and deboned) till caramelised (due to some of the tomato sauce). Add the paprika, Italian herbs, salt, pepper and gently break them into smaller chunks. Add more olive oil if needed.

5. Once spaghetti is cooked, drain but reserve some pasta water (about half a cup). Add these to the sardine and toss. Add the toasted bread crumbs in the end.
