Creamy Baked Pork Shoulder Steaks

How to make it 

Ingredients: 

  • 5 slices pork shoulder steak

  • 3 tsp ground sweet paprika

  • 2 tsp garlic powder

  • 2 tsp dried Italian herbs

  • 1 large onion, sliced

  • 1/2 cup cooking cream

  • 1/2 cup water

  • Salt & pepper


Method: 


1. Dry rub the steak slices with the dry ingredients (including salt & pepper). Pan-fry them (1-2 mins each side or till golden brown) by batches in some olive oil. Set aside.

2. Using the same pan (stove and oven proof), sauté the sliced onions till soft. Add the cooking cream and a splash of water. Season to taste and let the creamy sauce simmer for about a minute or so. Add the browned steak slices (and it’s juices). 

3. Place the pan in a pre-heated oven of 180C for about 20 mins. 

4. Serve the steaks with kale and spaghetti (or your favourite pasta).
